When owner Michael Desiderio discovered his passion for the culinary arts, he departed for New York City, mecca of the culinary world. For over 20 years, he operated world famous restaurants, including Windows on the World, Russian Tea Room, Rainbow Room, and Tavern on the Green. He developed an eye for all things exceptional, being exposed to the most phenomenal that New York had to offer. He worked with renowned restauranteurs, mingled with the culinary elite, and honed his skills and impeccable palate. Now he’s come home to North Caldwell!
CHEF KENNETH West III
A Clifton, NJ native, Kenneth say, “Family was my biggest inspiration from a young age. The smell of the house while my mother cooked pushed me to pursue this career.” West attended the ICC in Manhattan as well as ALMA in Italy to hone his culinary skills, where he also worked at The Bauer Hotel in Venice under Chef GiovanniCiresa. As a young chef who thrives on being creative and learning new techniques in food presentation, West is relishing the opportunity to take his game to the next level, presenting skillfully prepared dishes with simple ingredients!
